CCA has received a grant to offer specialized training programs for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) providers in San Bernardino County. We will ask students to enroll and complete into this self-paced screening course first prior to gaining access to the programs. In order to enroll into this screening course, you must:

Be an IHSS caregiver
Live in San Bernardino county
Care for a consumer/recipient with IEHP or Molina health plan

Once your documents have been verified, please complete this self-paced screening course to determine your eligibility for the program. We urge you to complete the screening course in a timely manner as the program will fill up quickly. Please note that the IHSS San Bernardino Program is a research-based program. We encourage you to do your best to answer all questions honestly and accurately.

In this screening course, you are required to complete five assignments:

After completing the assignments, please allow 5-7 business days for a CCA representative to call you regarding your program eligibility. Programs are at no cost to you as an IHSS provider. Programs are held live, online (Zoom), once a week for 6-12 weeks. If approved, you will be granted access to enroll into one of the following programs:

IHSS Caregiving Essentials (12 weeks)

Learn fundamental caregiving skills essential to becoming a recognized care team member. Training includes personal care, infection control, nutrition and body mechanics, medication adherence, and home safety. Potential compensation up to $1,495. *We expect high demand for this program, so participation will be granted by random lottery.

Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (6 weeks)

Learn caregiving skills specialized for consumers with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, including strategies for managing symptoms and common behaviors like sundowning, hallucinations, and wandering. Potential compensation up to $747.50.

Caregiver Resiliency Teams (6 weeks)

Learn caregiving skills specialized for assisting consumers with access and functional needs in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from climate-related and other emergencies. Potential compensation up to $747.50.
